hello fellow babes,
i might be late AF on this, so pardon me if i am.
as far as screening goes, i am aware of a few of the options out there – spydialer, thatsthem, etc. i am aware of spokeo &other paid searches, but i don’t have the budget for such things at this time, so i’ve never used them. i can usually find some amount of information with a combination of the free ones, facebook, etc., but every now &then i’ll get the generic “mobile number from brooklyn, ny” or “no record” – so not helpful.
today on facebook, a friend’s mother shared the website true people search [&was actually warning her friends to remove themselves from it – ha!] &i decided to search myself &a few other people i know by name or phone number alone.
enter: gold mine.
every apartment friends had ever held, childhood home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, family members, &“possible associates” [where i saw the former live-in girlfriend of my best friend, so wherever they’re pulling from is pretty legit].again, i’m not sure how new this is or if people already know, but i was able to pull up some intel on a POT that i had not been able to find prior, since he has an incredibly common [read: white] first/last name combo.
i hope this helps someone – especially any of the broke hoes like me who don’t / can’t pay for services but still want to screen &be safe!
bonus: remove your own record from true people search so no one can creep on you!
